The Write Focus
Your story deserves time and space to grow. 🌱
Join us for a weekly writing group on Zoom—The Write Focus is
a low-pressure, supportive space where writers come together to learn, focus,
and finally get the words flowing.
Sessions are Wednesdays from 3:30–5:30pm PST (6:30–8:30pm EST)
*Does this time not work, but you want to join?
Email me at [email protected], and we can chat.
Here’s How Each Session Works:
🔹 20 minutes of craft / Q&A
Kick things off with a short talk on writing craft or Ask Me Anything (AMA). Whether you’re stuck in the middle of your draft, wrestling with revision, or curious about character arcs. I'm here for your questions.
🔹 Quick Check-In
We’ll each share what we’re working on for the session (no pressure—just a quick note in chat if you prefer), then do quick check-ins between sprints.
🔹 2–3 Pomodoro Writing Sprints (25 minutes each)
I'll set the timer, shut out distractions, and write alongside other authors. The group energy keeps you focused, and by the end of the session, you’ll have measurable progress.
🔹Low-Pressure Community
Cameras are optional. Participation is flexible. You can ask questions in the chat or simply write quietly with us. As a fellow introvert, I get it.
🔹Low-Cost Sessions
All this for $20 per session! Pay per session.

time stops for no one
You've come looking for writing accountability. Carving out time for your writing is the only way you will finish writing your story.
The Write Focus offers a short talk on writing craft or an Ask Me Anything (AMA) about your specific project plus over an hour of focused time dedicate to your work in progress alongside other writers.
Spend time in an introvert's haven completing three 25-minute writing sprints together—but separately—on Zoom.
With quick check-ins or breaks, these sprints will help you to make progress on the story that's been living rent-free in your head for far too long.
make time to focus on your writing!
FAQ
HOW OFTEN DOES THE WRITE FOCUS MEET?
We meet most weeks on Wednesdays from 3:30-5:30pm Pacific time. Select days for United States holidays will not be meeting days, like November 26, December 24 and 31, 2025. Information will be sent out regularly to those signed up for The Write Focus.
WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A ZOOM ACCOUNT?
You don't need one. When you register for a The Write Focus session, I'll send you a calendar invite via email. It'll contain a link to join the Zoom call. Click on the link on the date and time for the meeting, and we'll be on a call together for the session.
WILL THE CALLS BE RECORDED?
I will record the first portion of the call with the lesson on writing craft or the AMA and share those videos with attendees. The video will not include attendees and will only include me and what I'm sharing. The portion of the call when we're working won't be recorded each week, nor will the break times with the check-ins.
IF THERE'S A TOPIC I'D LIKE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT, HOW DO I ASK?
If you've signed up an upcoming call for The Write Focus, feel free to email me topics at [email protected]. I may not be able to address the question immediately, but may use it for an upcoming session.
CAN I ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT MARKETING AS AN AUTHOR DURING THE AMAs?
While writing craft will be my focus, I welcome questions about what authors need to know to be published. I'm happy to answer questions related to being an author, on topics like marketing or pitching to agents. However, it may be part of a larger conversation, but I'd be happy to help how I can during the AMA portion of the call.
WHAT IF I HAVE A WRITING-RELATED QUESTION ON A WEEK IT'S NOT AN AMA?
I'm happy to answer questions during the breaks if the answer is fairly short. If not, you're welcome to email me at [email protected], and I can see if I can answer it for you. If it's a specialized question that involves more investigation, we can schedule a one-off coaching call to talk more.
